LOCATION
The Art Nest Retreat Center, 10425 95th Road Southeast, Agency, Missouri 64401
About 40 minutes north of Kansas City, Missouri in the stunning countryside near St. Joseph.

NOTE! This retreat is hosted by me, Tara Miller of The Quilt District. It is not hosted by the Art Nest. I have rented the Art Nest for this retreat.

ROOMS
You'll sleep in a shared room with an ensuite bathroom. Most beds are Twin beds. There are 2 Full beds and 2 Queen beds offered at a separate rate. Selection is above. Some bedrooms are upstairs (no elevator), some are on the ground floor. Some have a tub shower, others have a walk-in shower. Key pad locks on every bedroom door.

PLEASE BE CERTAIN YOU HAVE SELECTED THE OPTION THAT BEST SUITS YOUR NEEDS.

WORKSHOP
I'm teaching The Magic of Mixing Prints and my Sovereignty pattern (EASY foundation paper piecing & EASY curved piecing, based on an antique quilt in my collection).
Participation is optional -- feel free to bring whatever projects you prefer to work on.

SPACE TO SEW
The sewing room is massive.
Dedicated, individual sewing stations: 2 spacious L-shaped tables (5 feet each!) provide ample room to spread out your patterns and fabric with ease.
3 dedicated ironing stations equipped with premium wool mats and Olisio irons.
3 adjustable-height cutting stations, boasting a variety of rulers for every project.
Work around the clock: Fuel your creativity with 24/7 access to our bright and well-lit workspace.

SHOP
Pop-up shop with fabric and tools, too! Oooooo.... fabric!

FOOD & DRINK
All meals from lunch Thursday to lunch Sunday are included. Coffee, tea, and snack bar 24/7.
Alcoholic beverages are allowed, but not provided.

GET COZY
A whole-body massage chair that will make you forget your name. Seriously. It's THAT good.
Hot tub
Lovely sunroom and outdoor spaces to have your morning coffee or a break from it all.
Several lounge areas indoors. Quilter's library full of books for more inspiration!
High-speed Wifi throughout property.

ACTIVITES
Well, there's the sewing, of course.
There is a fitness space with floor mats, ideal for yoga or pilates.
Plenty of outdoor space for a walk, as well.

HOUSE RULES

  1. Treat others with kindness and respect. Be civil or be gone. This is a drama-free zone.
  2. Have fun.
  3. Adult beverages are allowed. Excessive intoxication is not.
  4. No smoking.
  5. No guest under 18.
  6. No visitors.

Please understand that while I will try to accommodate dietary requests, I won't be able to accommodate all requests. If you have a severe allergy, please come prepared with whatever treatments you might need for that (e.g., epi pen). If you don't eat beef, I have you covered. I don't, either.
