Welcome to “The District”!

Finding quilting in my 40s was my Ah-ha! moment. I did not grow up sewing or around sewers or quilters, so it was spanking new to me. As I hear is true of many quilters, I found it after a particularly rough patch in life—and it lifted me up.

I study and read about quilts (methods and histories) when I’m not making or designing them.

I also work a full-time gig as a technical writer in the software industry, so some of my time is taken with that. I’m married with two cats and three (now) grown step kids. I like to cook, love to travel, and I see quilts everywhere in things.
